When to go? The best time for a cruise to the Maldives
Best period: January to mid-April, the least rainy and sunniest. However, some afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially on the southernmost islands.
Period to avoid: tropical cyclones can form between April and December, with two peaks in May and November.

If you want to travel in summer, it is best to choose the islands located to the south, which are less exposed to the south-west monsoon and therefore less windy, sunnier and sheltered from tropical cyclones.
