Here isall the information you need for a cruise to Dubai!

When to go? The best time for a cruise to Dubai

  • Best time: from November to March as these are the months when the heat is not excessive and the days are slightly cooler, allowing you to hang out on the beach and sunbathe and visit the city peacefully (see also New Year's Eve in Dubai - events and offers).

  • Period to avoid: in general the summer months, but especially June, July and August, i.e. the months when temperatures are exaggeratedly high.

  • Tips: a trip to Dubai is not for everyone. One must expect excessive and particularly sultry heat to which we Europeans are certainly not accustomed. Elderly people and children may suffer from this particular climate. Dubai is therefore more suitable for young people and couples. In addition, it is ideal for those who love discovering cities and who are fascinated by the Middle East and its cultures and traditions (see also Christmas in Dubai - events and offers).

Climate, Average Temperatures and Rainfall

Rainfall is scarce, almost absent, and the few days of the year when it might rain usually occur between December and March.
However, Dubai is a very humid city and this is due to winds from the sea carrying moisture from the Persian Gulf. When the winds blow from the south, they sweep away the moisture but cause temperatures to rise dramatically, for example in winter it can reach 30 °C.
Dubai is also frequently hit by strong winds, sometimes so strong that they raise sandstorms.

How much does a Dubai cruise cost? Prices, tips and itinerary

  • Price: a cruise to Dubai ranges in price from €800.00 to around €1,500.00. The price refers to a high season period, November for example, and is per person. The price difference is basically dictated by the type of cabin one chooses and whether or not flights and transfers are included, since Dubai cruises depart mainly from there or from one of the Persian Gulf ports. Drinks and any excursions are in any case not included and must be purchased on board individually or as a package.

  • Recommended duration: Dubai is a very large city and has a lot to see. If your intention is therefore mainly to visit Dubai, choose a cruise that stops in Dubai for a couple of days. That said, the duration for this trip is a minimum of 8 days, ideally 12, which will allow you to see the most of Dubai and also travel to three to four other cities.

  • Companies that organise cruises in Dubai: Msc, Costa, Pullmantur, Celebrity Cruises

What to pack?

If you choose winter to go to Dubai, simply bring light clothes, but remember a scarf as protection against the strong wind and a jacket or sweatshirt, however light, for the slightly cooler evenings. If, on the other hand, despite the biting heat, you want to visit Dubai in the summer, then again bring light clothes, and remember sunscreen and a scarf long enough to use as a turban to protect your head from the sun's strong rays.
In both seasons, it is always better to have long trousers or a long skirt with you as well , in case you want to visit sacred places where they otherwise won't let you in.
